The photographic series "#Maremma" is a journey from the past to the present.
It emerged following the artist’s discoveries, after rummaging through the family’s collection of photos, of a time and place that no longer exist.
In a photomontage, she connects one hundred years of history in a single image by replacing the subjects in the photos, but keeping the same locations where they were once photographed and which are now in an abandoned state.
The main theme of the project is the historical, social and identity memory of a place in constant flux, an object also of migration now dictated by globalization.
Some of these images have been selected among the finalists of the Awards or International Combat 2017 and exhibited at the Fattori Museum of Livorno, in Naples at the Magazzini Fotografica gallery, in Bologna at the Dynamo space within the collective Album di Famiglia and San Potito Sannico (CE) and within the Festival Fatelab Project and the PHC of Capalbio, curated by Marco Delogu and Dimitri Angelini.
